New Shiba -- QiuQiu II

Our QiuQiu passed away for more than half year now, Vivian and I have questioned ourselves if we wanted to take on another dog or not many times. The short time we had with QiuQiu was wonderful, and we’ll want to repeat and extend the experience. And in the back of our minds, we know that having another dog means we’ll have to devote time and energy to take care of it. Giving the hectic schedule we have today, we just had to extra sure that we are ready.

We approached the same breeder Jacey where we got QiuQiu, sharing our lost of QiuQiu, she gave us the first pick out the latest litter. Once again, Frank and Connie donated their time, and even drove us five hours to visit the pups.

New Shiba!Shiba Inu doesn’t reproduce much, and being a highly reputable breeder, Jacey strictly limits the breeding seasons with her Shiba pack. Same as last time, this litter also had four puppies, and the parents are also champions, great pedigree. We had a such difficult time picking out which puppy to call it our own. Partly due to an even match among the puppies, but largely due to the fact we still have our QiuQiu in the back of our minds as comparison, and… just nothing seems can compare to our QiuQiu.

We did, however, picked out our new family member, and we’ve decided to pick him up after our wedding. That way we’ll have more time to welcome him to his new home. Can’t wait!

  • no, unfortunately, QiuQiu was killed on the road... back then our fences were not completed, and the leash wasn't tight enough, QiuQiu wanted to run across street towards the park we always take him to, and he was too young to understand the traffic...
