Daylight Saving Time (DST) is changing this year due to legislation passed in 2005 by the US government. This change will impact computer systems and applications that calculate and adjust date/time information based on the old formula.

The new DST law will be in effect starting March 11th, 2007, three weeks earlier and will end one week later than the previous years.

Impact
Users’ computer clocks will be off by one hour if systems and affected applications are not patched or clock is not manually adjusted on March 11th and will be again one hour off if not adjusted back on November 4th, 2007. This will impact your calendar and any other applications that use time stamps.

Previously DST started on: 2am, First Sunday of April, 04/01/07
With the new law, DST will start on: 2am, Second Sunday of March, 03/11/07

Previous DST ended on: 2am, Last Sunday of October, 10/28/07
With the new law, DST will end on: 2am, First Sunday of November, 11/04/07
